Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was intended to bridge narrative elements between previous mobile titles and the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts IV before its cancellation by Square Enix in 2025. The game was set to heavily feature Scala ad Caelum, a world described as the origin point for all others in the franchise.
