Samsung has officially confirmed that two significant new products will arrive in the second half of 2026: the Galaxy S26 FE smartphone and the Galaxy Tab S12 tablet series. The confirmation was made by Daniel Araujo, Vice President and Head of the Strategic Planning Group for Mobile Experience, during Samsung's third-quarter 2026 earnings call.

Araujo stated that Samsung intends to "maintain S26 momentum through sustained marketing and the launch of the new S26 FE." This indicates that the Fan Edition model is expected to build upon the success of the standard Galaxy S26 lineup. While specific details about the S26 FE's features remain undisclosed, its arrival suggests Samsung is looking to offer a more budget-friendly or incrementally updated version of its flagship smartphone.

New Tablet Series on the Horizon

Beyond the smartphone announcement, Araujo also revealed plans for the next generation of Samsung's tablet offerings. When discussing strategies to enhance the profitability of Samsung's Mobile eXperience (MX) business, he mentioned the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Tab S12 series. "To manage this, we’re focused on maintaining strong sales momentum of the S26 series while ensuring the successful launch of new premium products coming out in the second half, such as the new foldable series, Tab S12, and Watch Ultra 2," Araujo explained.

The inclusion of the Galaxy Tab S12 alongside new foldable devices and the Watch Ultra 2 suggests that the tablet will be positioned as a premium product within Samsung's ecosystem. This strategy aligns with Samsung's broader goal of balancing sales of its established product lines with the introduction of high-end, innovative devices. The announcement comes as a significant update for consumers anticipating new hardware from the South Korean tech giant this year.

Samsung typically uses its Fan Edition (FE) models to provide key features of its flagship devices at a more accessible price point, often incorporating last year's processor or design elements. The Galaxy S26 FE is therefore expected to appeal to a wider audience looking for a balance of performance and value. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S12 series is poised to compete in the premium tablet market, likely featuring advanced display technology, powerful processing capabilities, and enhanced productivity features, building on the foundation laid by previous Tab S models.
