ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has expanded its gaming monitor offerings with the introduction of the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS and the ROG Strix XG129C. The new displays aim to enhance the gaming experience by providing both immersive visuals and practical functionality for multitasking and system monitoring.

The ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS is a 34-inch QD-OLED monitor designed for enthusiast gamers, featuring a 3440 x 1440 WQHD resolution and an impressive 280Hz refresh rate. It boasts a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time and utilizes RGB Tandem QD-OLED panel technology for sharp text and accurate color reproduction. This model is VESA® DisplayHDR™ 500 True Black compliant, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with a Delta E<2 color difference, making it suitable for both gaming and professional creative work. To prevent image retention, the monitor incorporates the ASUS OLED Care Pro suite, which uses a proximity sensor to automatically dim the screen when a user steps away. Updates and configuration transfers are managed via the DisplayWidget Center. Connectivity options include DisplayPort™ 1.4 with DSC, HDMI® 2.1, and a USB-C port with 15-watt Power Delivery. The XG34WCDMS also features a redesigned compact stand to maximize desk space.

Enhancing the Desktop Command Center

Complementing the primary display, the ROG Strix XG129C is positioned as an ideal secondary monitor and desktop command center. This 12.3-inch display features a 1920 x 720 IPS panel with a 24:9 aspect ratio, minimizing distracting black bars and offering a more usable vertical viewing area. Its 10-point touch control facilitates intuitive interaction for OSD settings, hotkeys, and application management, particularly beneficial for streamers and multitaskers. The XG129C covers 125% of the sRGB and 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamuts, ensuring its visuals complement high-end primary displays. A key feature for hardware enthusiasts is the inclusion of a one-year subscription to AIDA64 Extreme, allowing the XG129C to function as a real-time system monitoring dashboard through exclusive ROG SensorPanel interfaces. The ASUS DisplayWidget Center and ASUS Control Panel software provide easy adjustment of settings.

The physical design of the XG129C prioritizes a clean desktop setup. A hybrid-signal USB-C port handles video, power, and touch input, while a secondary USB-C port offers 20W Power Delivery. An HDMI 1.2 port ensures compatibility with various devices. The slim chassis, measuring just 6.3mm at the panel, is supported by an adjustable kickstand and a tripod socket for flexible placement. These ASUS ROG monitors represent a significant step in offering advanced display technology to a wider range of gamers and content creators, focusing on both peak performance and everyday usability.
