Anker officially launched its Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max earbuds on May 22, 2026, integrating the company's proprietary Thus AI chip for enhanced audio performance and smart functionalities. The announcement came during the company's annual Anker Day event. Both models promise superior voice call quality, advanced active noise cancellation, and unique AI-driven features, alongside standard offerings like personalized sound profiles and voice controls.

At the core of the new earbuds is the Thus AI chip, working in tandem with eight microphones and two bone conduction sensors. This combination is designed to significantly improve voice clarity, especially in noisy environments. The AI model analyzes and isolates the speaker's voice from background distractions, ensuring they are heard clearly on calls. Anker states that the bone conduction sensors further assist in capturing voice even at lower volumes in moderately quiet settings. The chip also manages voice commands, offering 20 distinct control options with a claimed response time of under one second, providing a seamless user experience.

The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro series incorporates Soundcore's Adaptive ANC 4.0 technology. Utilizing the eight microphones, this system processes audio data at an impressive rate of up to 384,000 times per second. It continuously monitors ambient noise and sounds within the ear canal, dynamically adjusting the noise cancellation in real-time. Anker claims this advanced algorithm can effectively neutralize a wide spectrum of noises, including human voices, and boasts that the ANC performance is up to twice as effective as the previous Liberty 4 Pro model.

Personalized Audio and Extended Battery Life

For audiophiles, both the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max feature HearID 5.0, an AI-powered system that crafts a customized equalizer (EQ) profile based on a brief hearing test. Additionally, the earbuds employ AI Sound Enhancement to restore audio quality lost during Bluetooth compression, recovering an estimated 65 percent of lost fidelity. Battery life is substantial, with both models offering up to 6.5 hours of playback with ANC enabled. Including the charging cases, users can expect a total of 28 hours of listening time per model. Multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, Bluetooth 6.1, Apple Find My, and Google Fast Pair compatibility are standard across both new earbuds, alongside an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.

A key differentiator between the two models lies in their charging cases. The standard Liberty 5 Pro case features a 0.96-inch TFT touchscreen on its front edge, allowing for quick access to controls and information. The Liberty 5 Pro Max elevates this with a larger 1.78-inch AMOLED display. Furthermore, the Pro Max model introduces an AI Note-Taker, a feature capable of generating meeting transcripts, identifying speakers, and listing action items directly within the Soundcore app. While the Liberty 5 Pro does not include the AI Note-Taker, both earbuds support AI-based translation. This translation functionality is integrated into the earbuds themselves for the Liberty 5 Pro and is available on both the earbuds and the case for the Liberty 5 Pro Max.

The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds are available starting today, priced at $170, and come in black, blue, pink, and white. The premium Liberty 5 Pro Max model is priced at $230 and is offered in black and gold color options. These new offerings represent Anker's continued push into the premium audio market, leveraging artificial intelligence to deliver enhanced user experiences and competitive features.
