The helmet cam has many uses. Filming extreme sports and stunts or day to day activities, this camera is very versatile and simple to use! Whether it's used in recording paintball matches, or while riding a skateboard on ramps, this camera can endure it! A Digital Video Recorder is needed to record film from this camera. Many devices such as a camcorder, or TV Tuner card can be used. We also sell a recorder (details below) that can be used with this camera lens.

We have taken a couple of recordings from this lens using our recorder to show the details of this camera. They show a sample of the color and it's ability in the dark as well.

Camera Lens with Built-in Mic

This light-weight, portable lens is easy to carry and easy to store. With high durability, this helmet cam is weather and water proof! Easily usable by professionals and amateurs alike! A mic is also built into the lens.

Helmet/head band, bike mount, car suction mount

With these mounts, the camera can be used virtually anywhere. The suction mount allows mounting on any smooth surface such as a car window. The bike mount can be used on any motorcycle/bicycle handle bars for mobile filming. The included headband allows the camera to be attached around the head or a bike helmet for easy, portable use.

A/V Cables

These cables allow any RCA audio and video connections to store the camera's input to any compatible recording device.

Camera Recorder

The recorder can also be used alone as a Camcorder, Camera, NES Game Player, MP3, MP4, etc. This small, lightweight recorder has 4GB of built-in flash memory and an expandable SD slot for 4GB more. More specifications can be viewed below.

The whole setup is very easy to configure. The only thing needed is any device to record the input from the camera itself. Below is a diagram of the basic setup:

With this setup, there is enough wire length that the battery pack and recorder can simply be stored in the pocket, while the camera can be mounted nearby such on a helmet/head, car window, or bike handlebars.

What is CCD?

CCD is an analog device. When light strikes the chip it is held as a small electrical charge in each photo sensor. The charges are converted to voltage one pixel at a time as they are read from the chip. Additional circuitry in the camera converts the voltage into digital information.
